Emmy Predictions: Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series

The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards nominations will be announced on Thursday, July 14th. Chime in below in the comments with any thoughts of your own.

Last year’s nominees: Dylan Baker (The Good Wife), Beau Bridges (The Closer), Alan Cumming (The Good Wife), Ted Danson (Damages), Gregory Itzin (24), John Lithgow (Dexter), Robert Morse (Mad Men)

The competition: The only eligible nominee from last year, Robert Morse (Mad Men), should be back with his third nomination for AMC’s drama. He will most certainly be joined by Michael J. Fox (The Good Wife) and Jonny Lee Miller (Dexter). Also likely to make the cut are three past Emmy winners, Jeremy Irons (Law & Order: SVU), Michael Emerson (Parenthood), and Bradley Whitford (The Mentalist). They could also be replaced by others, including Mark Moses (Mad Men), Beau Bridges (Brothers and Sisters), and Dallas Roberts (The Good Wife) and screen veterans Bob Newhart (NCIS), Hal Holbrook (Sons of Anarchy), and Richard Dreyfuss (Parenthood).

The predicted nominees: Emerson, Fox, Irons, Miller, Morse, Whitford

The predicted winner: Fox
