Emmy Nominees: Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series

My predictions: 5/6, picking Johnny Galecki over Jon Cryer

Nothing much exciting to report here, especially since the one thing I got wrong involves two shows that I don’t watch regularly: Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men) switching categories to earn his seventh consecutive nomination, denying Johnny Galecki his second. Suspicions that two-time defending champ Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory) would be snubbed were denied, while Alec Baldwin (30 Rock) expectedly earned his sixth nod. Louis C.K. (Louie) didn’t have his show nominated, but, according to fellow Emmy enthusiast Myles McNutt, he earned seven nominations this year in various categories. Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm) is back along with his show, and Don Cheadle (House of Lies) joins the race as the lone representative of his fabulous show.

Who should win? Cheadle – no contest
Who will win? Maybe Cheadle, maybe C.K.?
