What I’m Watching: Superman and Lois

Superman and Lois: Season 2, Episode 7 “Anti-Hero” (B)

It’s good to know at least that Anderson is officially on the wrong side of the law, meaning her represents one not minimal threat rather than the full force of the American military because against Superman. Torturing Edge to force his cooperation was a worrisome enough sign, and once he came to the fortress himself to take down any Kryptonian in sight with his own heat vision and other manufactured powers, there was no going back. Clark’s idea to send him to investigate Ali may have been a mistake given that Anderson went straight to her with the very thing that may make her infinitely more powerful. It wasn’t a great time for Jonathan to get caught with the drugs from the mine, and I’m not sure why he’s being quite so protective of Candice given that she hasn’t done much for him. Sarah reconnecting with Aubrey went very well, and they’re the prime example of successfully turning things platonic after a romantic start. Lana has an uphill battle against her opponent, and showing up to his meet-and-greet to confront him about going after her in the most difficult time of her life was the best way to show her sincerity. It may not be nearly enough to overcome him, but it will help people come around to her way of seeing things. Sarah is being entirely sympathetic to her mother, and hopefully her run-in with her father is going to help spur him to give her the distance she needs without losing sight of himself in the process.
